Thanks Be to God for His Unspeakable Gift

2 Corinthians 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.  KJV

We find ourselves at a loss for words when we contemplate on the greatest gift that was ever given.  That gift of course, was God’s Son in the Person of Jesus Christ.  As we meditate on the complete unselfish love of God when He gave His only begotten Son to a  lost and dying world, and how our lives have been forever changed, all we can do is burst forth in a praise to God for His unspeakable gift.

This Gift is Unspeakable for Four Reasons:

Because The Method Has Never Been Matched!

Who would have ever thought of a virgin birth to bring the Son of God into the world?  But that’s exactly what happened.  Mary wasn’t just a young woman but a young woman who was a virgin.  Isaiah 9:6 states; For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:   KJV.  A child born; speaks of Jesus’ humanity, but He also was a Son that was given; that speaks of His Deity.  The only way Jesus could be fully God and fully human without the sin nature of Adam was to be born of a virgin.

This could not have happened by man’s wisdom, power or ability but by the Spirit of God.  Remember this Christmas that God has methods of dealing with your circumstances and fulfilling His purpose through you that cannot be matched by human means.  God will make sure He completes what He started in you.

  The Cost Cannot Be Estimated!

The Babe in the manger grew up to be the Christ on the cross.  There He shed his precious and priceless blood for you and me.  Such a cost can never be calculated.

The Blessing Of It Can Never Be Exhausted!

You will never exhaust the forgiveness, grace, mercy or power of God for your life.  There is an unlimited possibility of His Work in your life.  No matter what you may be facing right now in your life, you will never deplete the resources of this Gift.  Hebrews 7:25 declares; Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through Him…NIV  You will never exhaust the blessing of this Gift.

The Whole Of It Can Never Be Told!

Eternity itself will not be long enough to tell the story of all the grace, love and mercy that was involved in sending Jesus Christ as a Gift to this world.  Ephesians 2:7… in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. NIV. This Gift may not be understood fully with the head, but it can be fully experienced with the heart.  My prayer this Christmas is that you’ll be able to say with me, Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable Gift!

God Bless You,
