God’s Greatest Gift

Luke 2:11 declares, For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.

Christmas is about a God who saw our greatest need and sent a Savior.  If our greatest need were information, God would have sent an educator.  If our greatest need were technology, God would have sent a scientist.  If it were money, He would have sent us an economist.  If it were pleasure, God would have sent an entertainer.  But the greatest need of our lives was forgiveness, therefore God sent us a Savior.  That Savior was none other than His son Jesus. Isaiah: 9:6 states, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given… Jesus was given to us in order that we might be forgiven and have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

The reason we can have good tidings of great joy, (Luke 2:10) is because we can understand the truth about what He came to do.  You see, Jesus didn’t just come to the earth, but he came to go to a cross.  In His death and resurrection, Jesus made a way for God to come and live in your heart and life.  The word enthusiasm comes from the Greek, entheos, which means God in us.  We here at Life Fellowship Church are enthusiastic, excited, and joyful this Christmas season because Jesus has come to dwell in our hearts and to live His life through us.  My prayer for you this season is that you will know that your greatest need has been met by God greatest gift, the Gift of His Son.  Receive Jesus today and experience a joy that’s unspeakable and full of glory.

I also want to let you know that the countdown has begun.  Our target date to have service in our new building is December 24.  We would love to have you come and worship the Lord with us.  I believe God’s blessings will be poured out from heaven in 2007.  Expectation is the breeding ground for miracles and our expectation is high.

Merry Christmas,

 Danny Robinson
