The Heart of Christmas

Christmas is one of the greatest seasons of the year. The reason for that is because the baby that was wrapped in swaddling clothes was actually  “…God manifested in the flesh.”
Isaiah 9:6 states “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given.”
Unto us a child is born-- speaks of His humanity.
Unto us a Son is given-- speaks of His Deity.
This baby would be totally God and totally man at the same time.
He would be perfectly human with a divine nature in the same body!
All this came together in the Person of Jesus Christ.
This is truly Immanuel, which means, God with us.

Because Jesus was God He had the Power to save us.  But becoming a man gave Jesus the authority to save us.  1 Timothy 2:5 says  “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
Christmas is more than Santa, it’s about a Savior.  It’s about God building a bridge to man.  No matter how hard man would ever try, he could never reach to God in himself. The song says it so well, “…long lay the world in sin and error pinning…”  For man to ever be saved and know God in a personal way, God had to come from heaven to earth.  And that is exactly what He did in the Person of Jesus Christ.  Jesus became the bridge that man could walk across by faith to know God.

Although a Son was given, I must accept this gift and receive Jesus into my life. This is done simply by confessing Him as Lord and Savior in your life right now.

If you would like to receive the greatest gift you could ever have this Christmas, then pray this from you heart:  Jesus , forgive me of my sin and come into my life. I acknowledge you as Lord and Savior.  I receive you now and I give you my life.  Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer, please e-mail us and let us know.

The Lord bless thee and keep thee.
The Lord make His face to shine upon thee, and be gracious to thee;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

God Bless, Pastor Danny Robinson
