November 2007 Determined to Reach Your Destiny There is something more important than success and that is significance. What you are a is more important than what you have. Many people who have a lot of things aren’t happy, fulfilled or content because life doesn’t consist in the abundance of things that someone possesses. The biggest enemy of reaching our destiny is the enemy in-a-me! But those enemies can be defeated and overcome if we are determined to keep moving ahead. This process is not a once for all experience where suddenly all our enemies have disappeared, but a daily experience of discipline. In fact, simple acts of daily discipline will compound over time to bring a change in your life. Don’t get frustrated because you’re not further along as you would like to be. Just be faithful day by day with what is before you. It’s not what you do sometimes that makes a difference; it’s what you do daily. There are two pains we will all experience in life: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The least difficult pain to deal with is the pain of discipline. It is important that you begin now. Procrastination is the assassination of our destination. The longer you put it off, the harder it becomes. You will never correct what you’re unwilling to confront.
