                                                   Staying the Course

Hebrews 10:35-36  So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! 36 Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

There may be a dream, vision or promise in your heart that’s been there for a long time.  But delay doesn’t mean denial.  It’s your decisions not your conditions that determine your destiny.  Make a decision that no matter what obstacles you face, you’re going to stay the course. Yes it may be difficult at times.  But the price you pay for mediocrity is a lot higher than the price you pay for success. There is a reward for those who endure.  The Word declares in Galatians 6:9 … let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.  KJV

Let me share with you a few ways that you can “Stay the Course”

 I.                    By your Confession

Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) KJV

Don’t let all the negative voices around you steal the dream that’s in your heart.  Begin to speak boldly what you know God put in your heart.   Mark 11:23… but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. KJV  God will honor your faith and begin to align the circumstance to your confession.

II.                 By your Patience

Hebrews 10:36…you have need of patience….KJV

Patience is part of the package.  It’s waiting without worrying because you’re trusting God.  Someone said it’s your decision that gets you started, but it’s your disciplines that help you to finish.  The disciplines of: prayer, Bible study, meditating on good things, confession and helping others will keep you focused where you’re at, on the way to where you are going. Hebrews 12:1-2…and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; KJV

III.              By knowing there is a Payday

Hebrews 10:35 tells us there is a reward for standing our ground and not giving up.

God will perform what He promised.  He never starts something that He can’t finish.  You will cross the finish line and you will see those promises in your heart come to pass. Philippians 1:6  Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: KJV

May God Richly Bless You,
