2008 Is Going To Be Great Psalms 5:12 For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield. NIV The meaning of this scripture is that in all times and in all places, favor surrounds the believer. As we enter 2008 with this understanding, it will affect us on every level. We will become favor-minded in every situation. Being favor-minded will affect your thoughts, words and attitude in the challenging times. It will sustain you through crises, test and trails and direct you through the decision making process of difficult circumstances. Favor will produce an expectation that you are coming out on top, no matter what the circumstance looks like. A simple definition of favor is: that special affection of God toward you that releases influence over you so that others are inclined to co-operate with you. When you begin to tap into the “Chrisma of Christ” you become attractive in the Spirit producing a parameter of Divine influence, causing others to want to help you and bless you. The Bible says in Daniel 1:9 Now God had brought Daniel into favor and tender love with the prince of the eunuchs. From a despised, disadvantage position in a foreign country; Daniel became attractive and irresistible in the purpose of God because of favor. Through a series of events, he rose to great influence and power succeeding four empires in the number two position throughout his life. Daniel sustained this massive influence because of this force called favor. I want you to be encouraged by letting you know that no matter what position of disadvantage you may be in right now; your present condition has no bearing on God’s ability to allow favor to surround you at all times and in all places. And as this force is manifested in you life, it will bring promotion and the power to turn your defeat into victory. This is your year of favor and blessing because God is on your side and as Psalms 102:13 states, He will arise and have mercy on you because the appointed time to show you favor has come.
